Families looking forward to affordable quality family summer entertainment will be excited to hear about this year’s lineup for the Twilight Concert Series. Produced by the Salt Lake City Arts Council, the weekly series of concerts runs Thursdays from July 20 through August 31 at Pioneer Park, 350 West 300 South in downtown Salt Lake City.
Admission to the popular concerts is only $5 or $35 for the full season if purchased by April 30. The advance single ticket price goes up to $7.50 if purchased after April 30 and before the day of each concert. Day-of-concert single tickets cost $10. Advanced tickets sales are available at 24tix.com.
Here’s the 2017 lineup, minus a few future announcements:
- July 20: Little Dragon, Xenia Rubinos and Angel Magic
- July 27: Kurt Vile & The Violators and Whitney
- August 3: Kamasi Washington and Antibalas
- August 10: Solange and Kaytranada
- August 17: Cat Power with a special guest TBA
- August 24: TBA
- August 31: The Roots and Charles Bradley & His Extraordinaires
Each weekly concert will also have a local element as well. To promote and support local arts and music, the Salt Lake City Arts Council will be working with local partners Salt Lake City Weekly, KRCL 90.9FM, SLUG Magazine and the Urban Arts Festival to program local musical openers for all seven concerts.
Attendees can also get a helping of local crafts, with vendors organized by Craft Lake City, and local food, with the Food Truck League on hand each week.
