‘Behind the Scenes’ Returns to the Natural History Museum of Utah

Once a year The Natural History Museum of Utah open’s the doors to the Museum’s vast collections areas for all visitors. Parts of the NHMU that are usually for staff eyes only, will be open for viewing! This Saturday and Sunday, November 15th and 16th from 10 AM-5 PM, the Behind the Scene’s will be open to explore!

The Natural History Museum of Utah is not only a Museum, it is a collections and research facility storing more than 1.5 million objects in our collections that tell significant stories!

 

Highlights this year include:

-Archaeological treasures from Glen Canyon

-Access to the paleo collections and paleontologists who can discuss the many new species of dinosaurs discovered in Utah in recent years

-The Museum’s vast biological collections

-Meet the scientists doing amazing research and the curators who care for these important objects.

The Natural History Museum of Utah/Rio Tinto Center is located at 301 Wakara Way in Salt Lake City. Admission to Behind the Scenes event will be free with membership and included in regular admission price. For more information please visit nhmu.utah.edu.
