“Carve” Out Some Time for a Plethora of Pumpkins and Halloween Fun at the County Library’s Pumpkinpalooza

0

The County Library’s annual Halloween tradition, Pumpkinpalooza, is back and this year is bigger and better. In addition to the pumpkin themed festival on October 29, Veridian Event Center is also hosting a pumpkin carving contest with the theme “Literary Inspiration.”

Individuals and families interested in participating in the contest must “carve” out time to submit their entry on October 27, between 5-8 pm or October 28, 9 am-Noon. Winners will be invited to return to the Library’s Viridian Event Center the evening of October 28 for an awards ceremony.

All pumpkins will remain on display in Pumpkin Alley where on October 29, Pumpkinpaloozians can also participate in a pumpkin pie eating contest, pumpkin arts and crafts, pumpkin smashing, and more than a dozen community partner booths hosting activities. Don’t forget, a costume contest – pumpkin costume not required – but there can’t be a Halloween party without a costume contest.
