Humane Society of Utah Hosts 15th Annual Tour for Life April 11-12

World’s Largest Mobile Pet Adoption Event

North Shore Animal League America is the world’s largest no-kill animal rescue and adoption organization based in New York. Four of their mobile adoption and rescue units are currently on a lifesaving nationwide adoption tour – the Tour for Life, visiting 40 cities in 25 states. As a partner shelter, the Humane Society of Utah has been chosen to host the Utah tour stop April 11-12, 2015.

Additional participating rescue groups will be on-site Saturday only. Course A’ Lure, 3 Bros Tacos and a bouncy house will be set up in the front of the HSU building on both Saturday and Sunday. To celebrate Tour for Life’s 15 years on the road, the HSU is discounting $15 off the adoption fee for small breed dogs seven months and older during the event.

WHEN: Saturday, April 11, from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. (other rescue groups on-site) & Sunday, April 12, from noon-5 p.m.

WHO: Adoptable animals from the HSU and participating rescue groups: CAWS, Friends of Basset Hounds, Ruff Patch Rescue and Arctic Rescue

WHY: To bring attention to and find homes for thousands of homeless animals across the country.

Tour for Life 2015

This year Tour For Life celebrates 15 years on the road. The journey will cover more than 17,000 miles, working with partner shelters and rescue groups to bring attention to and find homes for hundreds of homeless animals across the country.
