Playworks Utah believes in the power or play to bring out the best in every kid.
On Saturday, March 11, 500 runners, walkers, crawlers, strollers and volunteers will descend onto Wheeler Historic Farm for Playworks Utah’s 6th annual Race to Reduce Bullying 5K and Fun Run. All proceeds from this event will benefit Playworks Utah as they continue to stamp out bullying in Utah’s elementary schools. Playworks provides over 33,000 children in 58 Utah elementary schools with opportunity to engage in safe, meaningful play throughout the school day. Playworks’ program has been proven to reduce bullying by an average of 43%, not to mention decrease transition time from recess to the classroom and increase physical activity and feelings of safety.
