Summer Kick-Off Event Celebrates 30 Years of Possibilities with the NAC

Barn-Party-PosterThe National Ability Center is kicking off summer with its annual, crowd-pleasing Barn Party at the NAC’s Bronfman Family Ranch, Recreation and Education Center Held Saturday, June 4 from 5:30 to 10 pm, the heel-stomping event celebrates 30 years of adaptive sport programs and 28 years of equestrian programs made possible through the National Ability Center.

“From talking when they were told they wouldn’t, to walking when they were told they couldn’t, our participants regularly astonish doctors, nurses, family members and friends,” said Gail Loveland, National Ability Center’s executive director. “The annual Barn Party is a chance to kick up your heels and celebrate the successes of our participants and the staff and volunteers who help along the way.”

With University of Utah Health Sciences as title sponsor, the event features a BBQ, music, line dancing, adaptive riding and roping demonstrations, kid activities, mechanical bull, hay rides, cowboy poetry and a silent auction. Family packages for two adults and three kids are available for $100. Adult tickets are $45, youth $20, kids under eight $10 and seniors $25. Tickets can be purchased by visiting www.discovernac.org/barnparty or by calling 435.649.3991. All proceeds support the more than 28,000 experiences and programs provided by the National Ability Center each year.
