The first annual Wasatch Yeti Bash presented by America First Credit Union will be held at the Ogden City Amphitheater on February 26. The Wasatch Yeti Bash will take place from 4-7 p.m. and includes a Winter Arts Market by Nurture the Creative Mind, a Community Bike Ride, Fat Bike Demo’s, Yeti Yoga, Yeti Sightings, Live Entertainment, S’mores, and costumed fun for all ages.

“Yetis have been spotted riding fat bikes, doing yoga on the street, admiring art during the First Friday Art Stroll and pestering bar tenders” said Sydnie Furton, Marketing and PR manager at Visit Ogden. “I am thrilled that these creatures have decided to visit Ogden and I hope that they will gather at the upcoming Wasatch Yeti Bash being held in their honor.”

The bash will begin at 4 p.m. with the opening of the Winter Arts Market. Attendees can gather around a lumber-jack carving a yeti out of Ice. Off-beat artists and vendors will be hosting family friendly interactive booths and exhibits. DJ Battleship will keep the vibes groovy, there will be live entertainment and yeti sightings throughout downtown Ogden. At 5 p.m. yetis and attendees can participate in a community bike ride and demo fat bikes. Two Bit Bike Racks will have a complimentary bike valet available at the event. At 6 p.m. attendees even have a chance to join yetis on the street during a winter yoga session with AndShesDopeToo.

Following the Yeti Bash, there will be a Insta-meet and Yeti Crawl on Historic 25th Street. Yetis will be taking over the bars and restaurants so keep your eye out for these snow-loving beasts. Yetis and other mythical creatures are encouraged to attend this event.

The free event is open to the community and is being held in conjunction with the USA Cycling Fat Bike National Championships and US Snowshoe National Championships that run through the weekend at Powder Mountain and Snowbasin Resort. A full schedule of events can be found at www.skiogden.com.
