1. Hogle Zoo's Party for the Planet

The Association of Zoos and Aquariums is throwing a party - over 100 parties throughout the country to be exact - to Party for the Planet. Celebrate the earth at Hogle Zoo with animal enrichment, presentations, and informative booths. Learn about all the small things you can do that will make a big impact on our planet.
Learn about what you can do to help the planet and coexist with our native animals, with the help of Wild Aware Utah and other groups on site from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
2. Ogden Nature Center's Earth Day Fair

Clean up and replant Hidden Hollow and The Draw. Volunteers will be planting new trees, shrubs and brush to beautify this piece of the trail. You can register and keep up to date with event details on the Facebook page.
4. LLPA Penguin World Record Attempt

Yes, this is really going to happen and it's going to be hilarious! Join in on the fun at the Loveland Living Planet Aquarium as they attempt the record for "most people making a penguin call simultaneously." This family-friendly event is to be followed by a Penguin Dance Party. Get your waddle on!

Make a weekend road trip out of your Earth Day celebration! Receive free admission to Zions National Park April 22-23 as part of National Parks Week.
Nothing celebrates the splendor of Zion National Park like Earth Day. This great annual event is hosted on the grounds of the Bit and Spur in Springdale.
Live solar powdered music will be accompanied by art and food vendors, activities and demonstrations about alternative energy, native plants, solar ovens, environmental art and sustainable products. Kids can participate in activities at the Kids Zone.

Celebrate Earth Day by turning your trash into treasure with local artist Andrea Henkels Heidinger. Bring your non-toxic, difficult-to-recycle post-consumer waste and use it to create a unique work of art. Salt Lake County Recycling will also be on-hand to present recycling dos and don'ts.
8. Earth Day Spring Garden Tour at Red Butte Garden

Attendees are requested to safely collect trash along the Provo River and deliver it to Vivian Park Pavilion 1. In exchange for their garbage, they will be given 1 voucher for a free lunch (redeemed between noon and ) and a prize drawing ticket. the prize drawing will be held at 4 p.m. must be present to win. No family members, sponsors, or organizers are eligible.
