Website provides educational resources to support mission of Alta’s local land trust

Friends of Alta, a land trust that advocates for preservation of undeveloped land in Alta, launched a new website at www.friendsofalta.org. The new site reflects the beauty of Alta and will keep supporters updated about the organization’s land trust, watershed protection, education and research work.

People familiar with the area will recognize the beautiful images native to the Albion Basin and appreciate the educational resources placed throughout the site. The new Friends of Alta website includes an events calendar and volunteer sign-up page to encourage stewardship for local supporters. Seasonal visitors who want to continue learning about the area can visit the Research page for the new live bird feed camera. As a caretaker of Alta’s natural resources, Friends of Alta is also active in discussions about land development and similar initiatives. You can visit the Current Issues page to learn more about their stance on the Mountain Accord proposal and other issues.

“Our goal with the redesign was to create a better user experience for our supporters.” said Jen Clancy, Director of Friends of Alta. “We are excited to launch the site and provide visitors with new ways to stay in touch, valuable educational information on the natural resources in Alta, and news on preservation and stewardship.”

Friends of Alta has been a dedicated member of the Alta community since 1981 and has continued to allocate its resources towards a better understanding of Alta’s natural environment.
