The 2015 Salt Lake County Fair celebrates 79 years of fun with world-class entertainment and exciting and innovative exhibitions, August 12-15 at the Salt Lake County Equestrian Center at 2100 W. 11400 S., South Jordan, UT 84095.

The Salt Lake County Fair offers the perfect place to gather family and friends to enjoy the spirit and community of Salt Lake County. There will be events, rides and activities for the “whole herd”. The 85,000 square foot arena will be filled with an assortment of exhibits, such as quilts, paintings, sculpture, photography, leather works and so much more, all shared by our talented Salt Lake County residents.

There are two new events this year, which include the Monster Truck Racing League, featuring the demolition derby and Monster Truck shows. There will also be an authentic jousting event presented by the Knights of Mayhem. You’ll think you’re back in medieval times as knights dressed in full armor charge toward one another on their trusty steeds. Only the most fearless knight will win. The Knights of Mayhem promises to be a crowd favorite, so get there early.

What fair would be complete without a rodeo? The Utah Rodeo will present a variety of riding events sure to excite and thrill the entire family.

On Wednesday, August 12, country artist Joe Nichols will be performing at the Fair at 7:00pm. Concert tickets can be purchased on smithtix.com. Additional musical concerts include Margie Chadburn, Ryan Chrys and the Rough Cuts, and Kindle Creek.

There will be fun events and activities daily including Incredible Dinosaur, Phantom Flyers Dunk Team, Hired Guns, Browns Amusements Carnival, School of Rock, Wave Runner Waterballs, Noah’s Ark Exotic Petting Zoo, Thillbillies Slip-n-Slide, 5050 BMX, Live Action Fishing Pond and Moki’s Luau dancers.
