Meet Local Authors This Summer at the County Library

0

Local authors are visiting various County Library locations all summer long and sharing their expertise as part of the second annual Authors in the Round. May 23 through August 17, local authors representing multiple genres will present fifteen workshops and three panels on topics such as traditional versus digital publishing, writing and editing a first draft, world building and more.

“Utah has so many wonderful authors and such a strong, supportive community that I wouldn’t be surprised if our workshops launch the career of more than one bestselling author in the future,” says Liesl Seborg, senior librarian at the County Library.

The workshop series is presented in support of the local writing community, along with the upcoming Spring into Books event at the Library’s Viridian Event Center on May 20. Authors in the Round begins May 23 at 7 pm at the County Library’s Hunter Branch with Anna del C. Dye’s workshop on languages in stories. Books will be available for purchase at all events.
