Utah Olympic Oval celebrates the upcoming Halloween holiday with its 5th Annual Trick-or-Treat Street event on Friday, October 21 from 6-9 p.m. The family-friendly evening is free for the public and open to all ages.

The event includes trick-or-treat booths, as well as other kid-friendly activities. Local vendors will be offering Halloween-themed activities and handing out candy and other treats. Activities include ice skating, face painting, arts and crafts, bounce houses, and a family photo booth. Guests are encouraged to come dressed in their favorite costumes.

The legendary 442-meter Olympic Oval will also be open for public skating beginning at 7 p.m. For youth 12 and under, ice skating is free. Public Skate Admission is $5 for adults 13 and up, $3.50 for seniors ages 65 and older, and skate rental is available for $3.

New this year will be a Haunted Houses Curling Tournament.  This Halloween-themed curling tournament is open to curlers of all skill levels. Medals are given out to the top three teams. Participants are encouraged to dress up in their favorite costume.

“We are very excited for the return of the Trick-or-Treat Street event,” said Todd Porter, Olympic Oval General Manager. “We love any excuse to get families into this historic building and to take advantage of the great facility in our own backyard. We are pleased that this annual event is becoming a tradition in the community.” The event last year drew over 4,000 attendees.

Participants this year are notable organizations such as Kearns Community Council, Kearns Oquirrh Park Fitness Center, Bikers Against Child Abuse, Salt Lake County, Mascot Miracles Foundation, just to name a few.
