Less than a week remains before Mummies of the World: The Exhibition, the largest exhibition of real mummies and related artifacts ever assembled, departs The Leonardo on March 6 – the final day of the exhibit. By popular demand, final weekend hours have been extended to midnight on Friday, March 4 and Saturday, March 5 in order to accommodate crowds and provide local residents and visitors with a last chance to view the must-see exhibition before it continues on its nationwide tour, a great option for a fun, unique date night or an educational family outing. Advance online reservations are highly recommended as there are no ticketing fees.

Featuring real mummies and artifacts from South America, Europe and ancient Egypt – some dating back more than 4,500 years – Mummies of the World presents a never-before-seen collection of naturally and intentionally preserved mummies. The new collection explores the links between mummies, science and medicine, including the Burns Collection, a historic collection of medical mummies dating from the early 19^th century. These mummies have been used to demonstrate and teach anatomy, pathology and surgery during the early stages of formalized medical education. The exhibit also features MUMAB, a never-seen-before modern-day ancient mummy. This mummy, the first of its kind, was created in 1994 by Egyptologist, Bob Brier and Anatomist Ronn Wade, working together at the University of Maryland, School of Medicine using the same tools and techniques of the ancient Egyptians.

Through modern science, engaging interactives and multimedia exhibits, the exhibition reveals how the scientific study of mummies provides a window into the lives of ancient people from every region of the world, offering unprecedented insights into past cultures and civilizations.

Regular priced admission to Mummies of the World is $22.50 for adults (18-64), $19.50 for tweens and teens (12-17), $18 for children (6-11) and $19.50 for seniors (65 and up); children 5 and under enjoy free admission.
